With over forty years of combined musical experience, Ademption carries on in the traditions of classic rock bands such as Black Sabbath, Van Halen, and Metallica. Built on the strengths of its live performances and carried on the praises of its loyal fans, Ademption is well on its way to making a name for itself. Led by singer/guitarist Robert Montgomery, the band started as a studio project in the Summer of 2006. By September of that year, the then-unnamed act relocated to Los Angeles, California for one month. Working out of Optimum Sound Studios with Producer/Engineer Yury Anisonyan, they had less than thirty days to finish writing, recording, and mixing their debut release. Sadly, just before leaving L.A., decisions were made to relieve Chris Marino of his drumming position within the band.

After signing the band to the Iowa-based record label, Avenge Records, Robert and then-guitarist Shane Hager began the challenging task of auditioning members for the band. After one month of searching, and with the inclusion of Josh Dowdy on bass and Crockett Henley on drums, Ademption was finally complete. Unfortunately, this completeness would be short-lived with the departure of Shane less than two months later. Broken, but not deterred, the three remaining members pushed on as a trio and started the process of building a following. It wasn’t until July of 2007 that a friend of Robert’s was brought in to audition for the open guitar slot. Before practice had even begun, it was apparent that Joe was the man for the job.

The greatest aspect of the band is the level of musicianship that each member brings to table. All four have very strong singing voices and are capable of playing a variety of instruments. They all excel at their given instrument and are very experienced songwriters. If you are looking for a talented and entertaining band, then you need to look no further than Ademption.
